THYROSTIM (Thyroid Gland Support)

Thyrostim is a product that gives support to the Thyroid gland and the Pituitary gland. Therefore, we use this product for the support of hypothyroidism and hypothyroidism secondary to hypofunction of the anterior pituitary gland.

You should use Thyrostim with Flax Seed Oil at two of each, three times a day; or if the problem is significant, levels as high as three, 3 times daily may be required for 21 to 30 days.

With primary thyroid hypofunction, the TSH will almost always be increased above 4.4. With thyroid hypofunction that is secondary to hypofunction of the anterior pituitary, the TSH will generally be reduced below 2.0. In some cases, most especially when the TSH is increased above 8.0, the problem may not correct with supplements alone; hormonal replacement may be required. We have found that if you are unable to return the TSH to the normal range after 30-45 days of supplemental support, you will probably require hormonal replacement to normalize thyroid function.

When required, the hormonal replacement seems to work better if you are on a small amount of Thyrostim and Flax Seed Oil. Often, the supplemental support will allow you to go to a lower level of the hormonal replacement and still achieve the desired results.
