GTA (Hypothyroidism Formula) – 90 Capsules

GTA contains five milligrams of thyroid glandular material, processed to remove thyroxine. GTA should be considered where specific glandular support is required to thyroid hypofunction and used at two to six per day.

We do not believe that GTA will replace Thyrostim as our primary thyroid supplement source. This is because thyroid hypofunction requires the nutrients in Thyrostim to support the thyroid and anterior pituitary function and hormonal production. Further, it has been our experience that far more thyroid hypofunction is due to anterior pituitary hypofunction and adrenal dysfunction than to primary thyroid hypofunction. However, in those cases where the problem is primary thyroid hypofunction, GTA will be the choice here.

One last thought on thyroid glandular material. It is my understanding that in order to purchase thyroid glands from a meat packer, dairy farmer, or gland supplier, you must have a drug license. Biotics Research is able to do this because they have a drug license. I wonder how many of the companies that are currently marketing thyroxine-free thyroid glandular products have a drug license. Perhaps they are buying the entire equine or bovine neck and removing the thyroid glands.

Porcine glandular concentrate 5 mg
Rubldium (from vegetable culture) 5 mcg
Superoxide Dismutase (from vegetable culture) 30 mcg
Catalase (from vegetable culture) 30 mcg

RECOMMENDATIONS: One (1) capsule one (1) to three (3) times each day as a dietary supplement or as otherwise directed by a health care professional.
