Generally, Dysbiocide supplies a proprietary blend of herbs and herbal extracts to support normal gut health.
More specifically,
Other than a culinary spice Dill is used for digestion problems including loss of appetite, intestinal gas (flatulence), liver problems, and gallbladder complaints. It is also used for urinary tract disorders including kidney disease and painful or difficult urination.
Wormwood is sometimes used to treat patients suffering from stomach parasites. Also it has been used as a stomachic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, carminative, cholagogue, febrifuge and anthelmintic (anti-parasite). Extracts of the plant have shown to exhibit strong antimicrobial activity, especially against Gram-positive pathogenic bacteria. They have also been tested as a potential medication against breast cancer.
Java Brucea has been used in traditional Chinese medicine, and is associated with the Large Intestine and Liver meridians. It has been used for centuries to treat dysentery and malaria.
Chinese Pulsatilla root is an effective cure for bacterial and amoebic dysentery. It is also used in the treatment of malaria. The root contains the lactone protoanemonin which has an irritant and antibacterial action. It can often be used treat dysentery with bloody stools and abdominal pain due to amoebic dysentery.
Picrasma excelsa can be used as an antibacterial, antifungal, antimalarial, antivenom, antiviral, and for constipation.
Cutch tree or Acacia catechu also commonly called Mimosa catechu is used for diarrhea, swelling of the nose and throat, dysentery, swelling of the colon (colitis), bleeding, indigestion, osteoarthritis, and cancer. It also has external uses.
Hedyotis is used in traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of cancers, infections and other diseases. Hedotis' active peptides target directly bacterial membranes. It is, thus, unlikely for bacteria to develop resistance. Therefore, hedyotide B1 peptide, with a novel mode of action, has potential as a unique antimicrobial agent against drug-resistance bacteria.
Yarrow intensifies the medicinal action of other herbs taken with it. It is reported to be associated with the treatment of the following ailments: Pain, fever, bleeding, gastrointestinal disorders, choleretic (bile) inflammation, stimulates the menses and for stomachache.
